Why stay near Hadrian’s Wall when you can stay on it!
Stay in our self-catering accommodation with a real link to Hadrian’s Wall, the impressive remains of which break only to let you enter the farmyard!
In 2007 we converted one of the farm byres into 5 en-suite bedrooms a dining room / lounge and a kitchen – what had been the milking parlour, cart house, grain store and pig holes became guest rooms! Of course, they are done to a very high standard and provide an ideal balance of comfort and facilities for families or groups of up to 10 people.
They are also full of character with exposed wooden beams, local Westmorland slate flooring and antique furniture. The rooms are very energy efficient as well, using underfloor heating and being well insulated with Thermafleece sheep’s wool.
Each bedroom has an en suite bathroom (2 with baths, 3 with showers) and can be arranged with either 1 double bed or 2 singles. All the rooms have wi-fi, a flat screen television and a bedside radio.
Included in the price is exclusive use of a kitchen equipped with everything you would need to cater for up to 10 people, and a large dining / lounge area just off the kitchen. The layout of the rooms (in blue) can be seen on the plan below – please note that, although the rooms are all in the same building, access from room to room to the dining / lounge / kitchen is via the yard.
There is also yard that is available to use by our guests plus a small, fenced lawn area to the rear of the rooms.
A laundry service is available at the farm, as well as use of an iron and ironing board.
